Under the direction of the Operations Team Lead and/or general supervision, the operator technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the company’s equipment within prescribed specifications which satisfy the customer requirements of quality, cost, and time, using the most economical means and complying with all legal requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to handle and feel. The team member is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team member may occasionally be required to work in non-permit required confined spaces, unless otherwise trained. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds. There is no continual lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision as well as color recognition. Good hand/eye coordination is necessary. Average hours per week: 36/48 alternating. Usual Shift worked is: 12 hours. Stand 70% Twist (3PC) 66%. Sit 5% Crawl 1%. Walk 70% Climb 2%. Lift 5% Bend (90-180 degrees) 40%. Lift (3PC) 70% Reach above shoulders 2%. Twist 5% Work at heights 1%. Squat 1%.
The noise level in the work environment is very loud. Team members must wear hearing protection and all other assigned personal protective equipment. Temperature can range from extreme cold (<40 degrees) to extreme heat (>95 degrees). The atmosphere contains fumes, dust, and odors.
Mechanical and electrical from machinery. Exposure to pinch points, cuts, burns, metal dust and slivers. Daily work near chemicals that are hazardous and explosive.
