Job summary

Halpin Staffing Services has a 2nd shift production operator position in Wisconsin. You will operate and set up printing and finishing equipment, ensuring quality and throughput while adhering to safety policies. You will inspect tooling, adjust dies, and minimize waste, rotating with teammates as required.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely reporting, with opportunities to cross-train and improve processes across the plant.

Qualifications

• HSD or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly, up to 100lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Some knowledge of lock out tag out procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set-up rails, print stations, folding, gluing, and/or die cut section on the equipment accurately in accordance with proper and safe setup techniques.
• Inspect all tooling before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before the next run.
• Ensure all bolts for cutting dies and all plates are in place and tightly secured.
• Minimize material sheet, ink and adhesive waste.
• Inspect anilox rolls for damage, before and after each run.
• Monitor and check quality in accordance with the shop copy, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, dimensions, scoring, slotting, and print.
• Properly operate machine to run efficiently and produce quality products.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Train, assist and rotate with team members on your work center.
• Cross-train on other equipment or other areas of the plant.
• Complete necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
• Rotate with other team members throughout the day.
• Adheres to production schedule. Makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. -Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
