Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Saline, MI is seeking a Machine Operator III for the second shift. The role involves advanced machine operations, setup, programming basics, and real-time optimization to meet quality and schedule goals.

You will maintain logs, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement with cross-functional teams. A minimum 5 years in manufacturing and IPC-A-610 knowledge are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and component identification.
  • Ability to follow detailed written instructions and work with hand tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to operate various machines as directed by the supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and shut down assigned equipment in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform basic programming and preventive maintenance tasks; maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  • Ensure all products meet quality specifications and production schedules.
  • Notify the Machine Group Leader of any quality issues or deviations.
  • Profile Wave equipment to achieve proper reflow performance.
  • Handle and dispose of dross from leaded and non-leaded solder in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintain fixtures and perform routine fixture maintenance.
  • Replace materials in pressure pots for conformal coating processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety protocols and using appropriate protective equipment.
  • Support cross-functional teams and assist in continuous improvement initiatives in conformal coating and other production tasks as required.

Emerald Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operator III on its Saline, MI team! This is a second shift opportunity. The Machine Operator III is a senior-level performs complex machine operations with a high degree of technical skills including complex setups and adjustments, quality control, real time optimization, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
