Job summary

Cordis is looking for an entry-level production associate in Florida to join our manufacturing team. Under close supervision, you will perform repetitive bench-to-assembly tasks, prepare components, read procedures, and operate production equipment to assemble medical device parts.

You will record results in logbooks and maintain clean, compliant work areas in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and follow procedures.
• Willingness to operate measuring devices and maintain quality records.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to semi-complex assembly tasks and prepare components.
• Read procedures and operate production equipment.
• Record manufacturing data in logbooks and ensuring traceability.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and participate in training.
• Move between workstations as needed and communicate issues to supervisor.

Responsibilities

Entry level position. Working under close supervision and following detailed verbal and written instructions, performs repetitive bench to produce medical components and associated subassemblies.

• Performs simple to semi‑complex tasks in the preparation for medical device assembly.
• Places parts in specified relationship to each other per written documentation
• Assembles components according to approved standards and procedures.
• Reads and follows procedures to assemble, start‑up, and operate production equipment.
• Perform moderately complex set‑ups, adjustments, operates, maintains, and cleans machines moderate complexity to perform assembly process on assembly line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Perform moderately complex first piece inspections using simple test equipment.
• Accurately records and completes manufacturing documentation, i.e., logbooks.
• Communicates problems to supervisor, technician, or engineer.
• Perform stock/kanban transactions and enter lot information into computer/terminal.
• Has completed basic production, health, safety, and environmental hazard training courses.
• Must be able to perform job functions while walking and/or standing up to 100% of the time during a shift.
• Follows all corporate, safety and production standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work varying shifts and overtime hours when required.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Must have ability to complete training courses.
• Ability to use and read measuring devices, i.e., rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Understands and can apply regulatory (QSR, ISO) requirements in everyday activities.
