Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking an Inspector/Equipment Operator to join its manufacturing team in Ohio. You will prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization, monitor progress and take action on deviations.

You will inspect parts, identify defects and follow proper protocol to discard defective items. As a global technology company, Schaeffler offers development opportunities and a safety-focused work environment with PPE and adherence to all production rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English.
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program by tooling and parametrization according to work order information.
• Check production status within and in between production sequences and act on deviations.
• Operate machines while monitoring production processes and follow procedures.
• Inspect manufactured parts, identify defects and discard defective parts.
• Support maintenance in repair and downtime prevention and inspection of machines.
• Follow all safety and production rules and use PPE at all times.
