Job summary

Materion is hiring a 2nd shift Production Operator to improve surface condition of rolled products. You will sand or grind to remove imperfections and set up leveling equipment and shears.

Assist in the rolling mills, follow safety rules and PPE, and use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers) to verify specs. Strong communication and basic math are required.

Qualifications

• High School or vocational diploma/GED is required.
• Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and use measuring instruments with assistance.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with some machining experience is a plus.
• May require forklift and overhead crane operation licenses and lockout/tagout certification.
