What you’ll do:

• Responsible for inspection and general upkeep of the lift truck assigned.
• Inspect the lift truck and complete the inspection report for daily maintenance and safety purposes.
• Change batteries and clean the lift truck as needed.
• Pull the correct scrap foam material according to the product being produced.
• Place the proper material on the conveyor as per the production schedule and process flow.
• Maintain an adequate amount of materials at the workstation to ensure smooth flow through the granulating process.
• Operate granulator equipment and monitor the process to prevent contamination.
• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Serve as a member of the Plant Emergency Response Team.
• Perform other duties as required.

What you have:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior experience operating a lift truck preferred.
• One year of related experience in a production environment.
• Ability to maintain acceptable attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures.
• Able to sit, stand, reach, bend, climb, and twist without restrictions.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Good oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
• Requires high mental and visual attention to perform tasks safely.
