Job Description

Machine Operator II – Entry-LV4: One-Step Department

Salary Grade: Hourly

Basic Function

Safely and effectively operate one-step equipment (including Nissei and related machinery) to meet production requirements, ensuring high-quality products according to customer specifications.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Operate and monitor assigned machines, including Nissei and related equipment, to ensure continuous production of quality products.
2. Perform quality checks hourly, recognize defects, and make adjustments; communicate issues to relevant personnel.
3. Maintain and record production data, troubleshoot machinery issues, and perform setup and maintenance activities.
4. Assist in training, oversee packaging quality checks, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
5. Follow all safety, GMP, and work instructions, and use PPE appropriately.
6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Reporting Relationship

This role reports directly to the shift Production Supervisor.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of manufacturing equipment operation preferred, especially in plastics or injection molding.

Skills and Attributes

• Good communication skills; able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Technical aptitude to learn SAP, FMS, and related systems; troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail, safety consciousness, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform manual tasks.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work a 12-hour shift and flexible schedule as needed.
• Demonstrate safety and quality standards consistently.
