Job summary

The Brickle Group is seeking a Machine Operator II for spinning operations. You will run 2 spinning frames, prioritize quality and safety, and collaborate with the team to meet production goals. The role emphasizes documentation of results and participation in continuous improvement.

The position is 2nd shift (2pm to 10:15pm) and requires basic math, English communication, and reliable attendance. Training will cover machine adjustments and Carding basics to support operability.

Qualifications

  • Willing to learn and adapt to spinning operations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and data recording.
  • Overtime flexibility and dependability are required.
  • Experience in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Operate 2 Spinning Frames and follow safety rules.
  • Keep machines clean and in good working order.
  • Maintain a neat, 5S-compliant work area.
  • Adjust machine settings under supervision to ensure quality.
  • Record data and report issues to the Supervisor daily.
  • Identify quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Perform PM checks and learn weight adjustments and Carding basics.

Description

Position Summary/Objective

The Machine Operator II in Spinning will be able run 2 Spinning Frames independently with a focus on quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Operator will follow standard procedures to efficiently produce high quality products in a timely manner. This position is also accountable for the inspection of goods, and documenting results.

2nd Shift 2pm to 10:15pm

$20.10/hr - $24.12/hr

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety rules, including Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures and use of Personal Protective Equipment including hearing protection.
  • Operate 2 Spinning Frame.
  • Keep the machines in good working condition by properly cleaning.
  • Keep the work area neat and organized according to 5S Standards.
  • Works with Supervisor to understand all machine adjustments that have a direct impact on quality and runnability.
  • Complete work within the expected time frame of production job.
  • Understand the basics of all the components of the machines they have been trained on.
  • Collect and record data and asks questions of Supervisor if unsure of instructions.
  • Communicate daily with the Supervisor regarding any issues or concerns and provides status updates to all shifts.
  • Identify quality issues both incoming to the operation and created by the operation.
  • Learn to complete PM checks learn to perform weight adjustments working with supervisor.
  • Learn the basics of Carding.
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to operate machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as requested and a varied shift as business needs arise.
  • Dependability and punctuality a must.
Education & Experience
  • Willing to learn.
  • Experience or knowledge of manufacturing industry a plus.
