Job summary

Caerus Corp is hiring a Machine Operator II to join our Blaine, MN facility. You will operate advanced manufacturing equipment, perform setups and adjustments, and support efficient workflow with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires reading work instructions, conducting inspections, and coordinating with Maintenance to resolve issues. You will also train junior operators and uphold Lean principles and 5S in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical or vocational training in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience.
  • Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
  • Experience operating computer‑assisted or automated production equipment.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience following SOPs and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate production equipment while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Perform machine setups, adjustments, changeovers, and preventive maintenance.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, orders, specs, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct first‑piece inspections and verify settings meet standards.
  • Monitor performance, downtime, and scrap; collaborate with Maintenance.
  • Verify product quality and ensure compliance with procedures and specs.
  • Follow quality system procedures including traceability and 5S.
  • Support shift handoffs with status updates and priorities.
  • Train and coach Machine Operator I on operation and safety.
  • Identify safety hazards and report deviations; take action.
  • Promote Lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Title: Machine Operator II

Location: Caerus Warehouse, Blaine, MN 55449

Job Type: Full Time; Shift: 2nd Shift (B Shift), Monday–Thursday 3:15am–1:45am.

Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator II is a skilled production role responsible for operating advanced manufacturing equipment, performing machine setups and adjustments, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting efficient workflow execution.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment while maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Perform machine setups, adjustments, changeovers, and routine preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment readiness.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing work instructions, work orders, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Conduct first‑piece inspections and verify machine settings meet established production and quality standards before beginning runs.
  • Monitor equipment performance, production output, downtime, and scrap; perform intermediate troubleshooting and collaborate with Maintenance and other support teams to resolve issues.
  • Verify product quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure compliance with procedures, standards, regulatory requirements, and specifications.
  • Follow established quality system procedures, including traceability, line clearance, and escalation of nonconforming deviations.
  • Support shift handoffs by communicating production status, equipment conditions, quality concerns, and priorities.
  • Train, coach, and provide hands‑on support to Machine Operator I employees on operation, standard work, expectations, safety, and best practices.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, quality concerns, equipment issues, and process deviations; take appropriate actions.
  • Promote workplace organization through 5S, safety compliance, Lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, quality, workflow efficiency, and waste reduction; assist with implementing approved improvements.
  • Support production leadership by assisting with daily priorities, coordination, and operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical or vocational training in manufacturing, machining, industrial technology, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience, or demonstrated proficiency as a Machine Operator I.
  • Experience performing machine setups, adjustments, and changeovers.
  • Experience operating computer‑assisted or automated production equipment.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience following SOPs, work instructions, and mandatory quality documentation.
