Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Buckeye, AZ is seeking a Machine Operator II for 1st shift to operate a range of machinery, monitor output, and ensure quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will run bridging machines, saws, channel shears, angle shears, crimpers, and end bar benders, perform routine maintenance, handle loads with overhead cranes, and follow safety protocols to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all job functions of Machine Operator I.
• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Valid crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes for efficient material handling.
• Operate a variety of machinery, including bridging machines, saws, channel shears, angle shears, crimpers, and end bar benders.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
• Lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
