Job summary

Galdisa USA, Inc. in Conroe, TX is seeking a full-time role focused on safety and quality of products manufactured at the Conroe facility. You will ensure compliance with customer specifications and mandatory standards while maintaining SOPs and high efficiency across the production line.

The position involves setup, inspection, GMP adherence, and collaboration with quality teams to support continuous improvement. Prior manufacturing experience and a high school diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility or similar experience.
• Understanding of production procedures and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up the work area to ensure materials are available to start the production cycle.
• Inspect work areas before start-up, during, and at the end of the day.
• Identify opportunities for food safety and quality improvements; strive for continuous improvement.
• Follow GMPs and established safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; clean equipment and areas as needed.
• Operate pallet jack to stage finished product for warehouse staff.
• Assist quality technicians in obtaining samples.
• Handle "Super Sacks" per customer specs and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Maintain activity logs for process control; report issues to management.
• Execute consumption of material.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Ensure the safety and quality of products manufactured at our Conroe, TX facility, according to customer product specifications, and mandatory and voluntary codes/standards. Maintain efficiencies, SOPs, and utmost standards set forth by customer specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Set up the work area to ensure that all materials needed are readily available to start the production cycle.


• Inspect work areas before start-up, during, and at the end of the day.


• Identify opportunities around the food safety and quality systems in place, or around any materials and products used at the facility. Must strive for continuous improvement.


• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).


• Follow established safety rules and regulations.


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.


• Clean equipment and work areas as needed.


• Operate pallet jack to stage finished product for warehouse clerk(s).


• Assist quality technician(s) in obtaining samples.


• Properly place \"Super Sacks\" on the hoist on the raw side and/or on pallets to fill with the finished product according to customers' specs.


• Control and adjust machine settings and effectively monitor and maintain activity logs needed for process control.


• Execute consumption of material.


• Reports issues regarding the Food Safety Management System to the Technical Manager and/or Plant Manager.


• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education/ Experience

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.


• 1 year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Understands production procedures.

• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.


• Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.


• Must be able to visually inspect machines.


• Must be able to climb various platforms of two or three levels without difficulty.


• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Additional Benefits

• Additional $1.50 shift differential pay from 7 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.
