Job Summary

We are seeking a team member to operate and set up machinery for producing fish food flakes on a Drum Dryer. This role is ideal for someone with food machine operation experience, interested in production goals, and teamwork. The position offers opportunities for growth within our expanding facility.

The Machine Operator II is responsible for managing production equipment, understanding product flow, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain safe work practices and a safe environment.
• Follow all food safety protocols.
• Monitor and check product quality during operation.
• Operate, troubleshoot, clean, and set up production machinery.
• Adhere to GMPs and oversee team compliance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance for minor troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures including PPE and lock-out/tag-out.
• Perform quality checks on finished products.
• Document data accurately in the Flex System.
• Assist in packaging and support plant improvement projects.
• Properly operate fish grinding, seed blending machinery, and metal detectors.
• Follow recipe sheets and conduct moisture and quality control tests.
• Adjust machinery as needed and manage batch components.
• Clean equipment between runs and track batch/inventory data.
• Participate in inventory and adhere to company policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience operating production machinery.
• Equivalent education and experience acceptable.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.
