Qualifications

Job Description

Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm
Pay: $32.11/hr
Temp-to-hire position
Location: Ballwin, MO

Responsibilities:
  1. Manufacture parts and components for handheld surgical instruments by programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC metal machining equipment.
  2. Program, set up, and operate manual and CNC metal machining equipment.
  3. Build new tooling and repair old tooling as needed.
  4. Use measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, gage pins, and optical comparators.
  5. Train CNC technicians and/or Apprentice Instrument Technicians (Machining) to become proficient in setting up, operating, and manufacturing parts according to controlled documents and drawings.
  6. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Ensure parts meet print dimensions and specifications to exceed customer expectations.
  8. Consistently meet or exceed production standards for time and quality.
  9. Maintain a thorough understanding of all parts involved in machining processes.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding daily goals and nonconformance issues.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Machine Shop Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience at Journeyman level.

Skills:

  • Ability to visualize shapes and follow manufacturing procedures.
  • Manual machining of metal.
  • Experience in programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC machining.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, blueprint reading skills, and tooling knowledge.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building tooling as needed.
Additional Information:

Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, with overtime as needed.
