Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Machine Operator I for the Richmond, VA facility. The role involves fabricating products using tools and machines, following engineering docs and production standards, and performing basic to advanced operator maintenance tasks to meet schedules.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of fabrication experience, basic math and reading/writing skills, and the ability to read a tape measure with fractions and decimals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience.
• Basic reading/writing and math skills required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions/decimals.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering docs and production standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Inspect finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and participate in resolutions.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and maintain them.
