Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Colonial Heights, VA is hiring a Machine Operator I, Tank & Canopy for onsite work. You will fabricate parts per engineering drawings, set up fixtures, arrange parts for production, and verify assemblies against BOMs.

Expect cross-functional teamwork and routine equipment operation in a climate-controlled plant. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years in production fabrication or similar roles, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of production fabrication or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering documents and standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions.
• Reject defective parts and materials per policy.
• Maintain safe, careful use of tools and equipment.
• Attend cross-functional meetings as required.
• Troubleshoot complex issues; cross-train teammates.
