Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine in strict accordance with established procedures. The role requires securing and maintaining materials and supplies needed for efficient operation.

You will contribute to a safe, productive manufacturing environment. The position emphasizes accurate setup, safe operation, and adherence to quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience in manufacturing or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently, following procedures.
• Stacks finished products and labels/bands components when required.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment and production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Performs duties according to safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
