Job summary

UFP Industries seeks a Machine Operator I to set up and operate a production machine in accordance with established procedures, securing and maintaining required materials for the operation.

The role involves safe operation, quality checks on finished products, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and completing pre-shift inspections. The candidate will participate in safety and continuous improvement programs and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or assembling is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label and band components/finished product as required.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure standards compliance.
• Performs duties according to safety and quality procedures and participates in safety and CI programs.
