A Day in the Life

In this role, you will operate and support manufacturing equipment used in production while helping ensure products meet established quality and process requirements. This is an opportunity to develop hands‑on manufacturing skills while contributing to work that supports Medtronic's mission.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Operate light‑duty bench‑or floor‑type machine tools and production equipment, such as small lathes, power mills, extruding machines, drills, punch presses, power brakes, shears, or saws.
  • Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as required to support production.
  • Assist with routine maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Inspect completed work using prescribed gauges, jigs, and fixtures to verify dimensional requirements and close tolerances.
  • Operate numerically controlled equipment where applicable.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and verify product quality in accordance with established statistical process controls or other quality procedures.
  • Follow established operating procedures and manufacturing requirements while supporting a safe, quality‑focused work environment.

Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, production, or machine operation environment.
  • Experience operating or working around machine tools or manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with gauges, jigs, fixtures, or other basic measurement and inspection tools.
  • Experience performing basic machine setup, adjustments, or routine equipment maintenance.
  • Familiarity with numerically controlled equipment.
  • Experience following standard operating procedures, quality requirements, or established manufacturing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently perform work requiring accuracy and close tolerances.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$38,400.00 - $57,600.00

This position is eligible for a short‑term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
