Job summary

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is seeking a Machine Operator I for the 3rd shift at our Troy, IL facility. Core hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime may be required.

The position offers benefits and a wage progression starting at $24.87 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential, with potential to reach $26.61 after 10 months. Salary guidelines reflect market and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator I - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $24.87 per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differential. Machine Operator's follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $26.61 per hour after 10 months.

What You’ll Do

The Machine Operator will be required to operate sheet metal fabrication machines, read shop orders, read and understand engineering drawings, perform quality checks, and use calibration equipment such as calipers, or any other equipment necessary to perform job functions.

In This Function, You Will

• Work with flat sheet metal (steel and aluminum)
• Run various machine operations (brake press, hammer flanger, buffalo roller, hand scribing & hand sheering)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of six(6) months Machine Operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Troy, IL will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of two(2) years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Experience with calibration equipment such as calipers
• Prior SAP experience.
• Proficient with basic computer applications.
