Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a Machine Operator I on 2nd shift to fabricate products using proper tools and machines, meeting production schedules. You’ll perform maintenance tasks and operate grinders, drills, punches, presses, and other equipment to complete assemblies per engineering docs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of production fabrication; 1–2 years is preferred. Expect a production environment with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of production fabrication or comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering documents and standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist in resolutions.
• Reject defective parts per policy.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in cross functional meetings and training.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
