Job summary

Dover Food Retail, a unit of Dover Corporation, seeks a Machine Operator I for 2nd shift in Colonial Heights, VA. This onsite role fabricates parts per drawings, maintains tools, and collaborates across teams to meet production schedules.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of fabrication experience; training in additional tasks such as welding or CNC may be required. Medical, 401k, and holidays are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of production fabrication or similar experience.
• Basic reading/writing and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate assemblies/parts per engineering docs and standards.
• Set up and lay out work using fixtures and guides.
• Arrange parts for fabrication and staging processes.
• Review finished assemblies against drawings and BOMs.
• Report fabrication issues and assist resolutions as needed.
• Reject defective parts per policy.
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings.
• Perform complex troubleshooting.
• Train and be trained in cross training of team members.
