Job summary

UFP Industries is hiring a Machine Operator I in Washington state. You will set up and operate a production machine, feed materials, and maintain safe, orderly work areas while following procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities include pre-shift inspections, maintaining records, and supporting safety and continuous improvement programs. Must have 6 months of manufacturing experience and be at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components/finished product as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Follows established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.
• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
