Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Thorp, WI is seeking a Machine Operator to join a high‑performance manufacturing team. You will perform pre‑operation inspections, palletize and feed parts, and support a cross‑functional crew on a rotating basis.

The role requires basic math, tool use, reading and following work instructions, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Prior manufacturing experience preferred; HS diploma or GED required; pre‑employment background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.
• Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.
• Use mallet to loosen doors. Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging. Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.
• Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails/assist .
• Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.
• LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours is required.

Overview

The Machine Operator will work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the operator’s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment. Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.
