Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator in Northumberland, PA to join a high-performance manufacturing team. You will perform pre-operation checks, load door components, and help rotate tasks on a cross-functional line to drive productivity.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in manufacturing, HS diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. LOTO and safety are emphasized in daily duties.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operation machine inspections (load screws and hinges).
• Sort and push door stacks along conveyor tracks.
• Use mallet to loosen doors and load hinge panels for hinging.
• Inspect hardware alignment and ensure correct application prior to push off.
• Remove cullboards, change bits, restock rails, assist as needed.
• Follow LOTO procedures and operate air tools during cleanup.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods; bending and twisting as required.

Overview

The Machine Operator will work in a high-performance work organization on a cross functional team that utilizes the operator’s ability to perform multiple tasks and work within a team environment. Operators need to be cooperative and willing to apply their skills and rotate positions on a regular basis to make the team successful.

What you will do:

• Pre-operation machine inspection- load screws and hinges.
• Sort and push door stacks down the conveyor tracks.
• Use mallet to loosen doors. Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging. Inspect and ensure hardware aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.
• Pull off cullboards, change bits, restock rails/assist.
• Reject doors are directed to repair and remakes requested.
• LOTO certified and use of air gun during clean up.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, constant twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and standing for long continuous hours is required.

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting working in a similar role
• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
