What YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
- Use computerized manufacturing technologies or related systems to meet production and customer requirements.
- Perform set-up duties on fabrication equipment and the safety devices in accordance with production documentation.
- Position production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to print specifications.
- Operate and adjust various equipment, including controllers, and edit programs according to production documentation.
- Meet established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
- Comply with all applicable safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to the team leader or appropriate resource.
- Ensure that products and systems meet CADDY quality standards.
- Inspect work to ensure proper dimensional requirements are met per prints.
- Perform specified preventative maintenance procedures and assist Maintenance and outside sources with troubleshooting systems.
- Take action and notify appropriate resources when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc.
- Participate actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
You have:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Preferred
- Minimum of One Year Prior Experience in Machine Operating
- Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
- Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
- Skill in analytical thinking and problem solving
- Skills or Ability in mechanical repairs or troubleshooting
- Fork truck licensed or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to lift, slide, and shake heavy gauges of material.
- Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper)
- Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Production Supervisor.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstances and thrive in a constantly changing business environment.
