Machine Operator

2nd shift 3-11:30pm (occasional Saturday shift)

Role Overview

The Machine Operator I supports manufacturing and engineering by producing production parts, new tools and fixtures, etc., and/or developing manufacturing processes (requiring grinding, lapping, or CNC equipment).

The position has an initial focus on process simplification and improvement and must be able to work autonomously and within a team.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• Sets up and operates equipment such as lathes, drills, milling machines, surface grinders, saws, etc. using pre‑established processes and programs for production of parts and tools.
• Utilizes precision measuring tools to ensure in‑process or finished product matches specified tolerances; strong acumen with standard machinist metrology devices.
• Performs routine and corrective maintenance for machine shop equipment per internal and OEM procedures.
• Completes documentation for tracking of time and cost related to development activities.
• Provides design consultation for manufacturability and to ensure parts are completed when required.
• Complies with EHS regulations and policies.
• Participates in teams to drive process and documentation improvements.
• Supports new product development requirements by performing assigned work as needed.
