Machine Operators play a crucial role in manufacturing and production processes by operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. This description outlines the responsibilities and skills required for Machine Operator I.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

  1. Operate assigned machinery under direct supervision.
  2. Load raw materials into machines and monitor the production process.
  3. Perform basic machine setups and adjustments as instructed.
  4. Conduct routine inspections to ensure machinery is functioning properly.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or notify supervisors.
  6. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
  7. Record production data and maintain accurate logs.
  8. Complete assigned tasks within given timeframes.
  9. Maintain communication with work teams by documenting actions, irregularities, and needs.
  10. Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment.
  11. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to reduce costs or increase productivity.
  12. Maintain open communication with supervisors regarding work matters.
  13. Adhere to company values, practices, policies, and safety regulations.
  14. Demonstrate punctuality and regular attendance.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with potential exposure to high temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noise levels.
