Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and best practices for the AR/HV department.

• Maintain workstation cleanliness and organization.
• Meet hourly production goals and yield targets.
• Operate computer-controlled equipment.
• Be able to multi-task as required by workflow.
• Handle flammable/corrosive materials daily.
• Light record keeping on machine maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of the lab.
• Perform duties as requested by Lab Manager or Supervisor.
• Prepare machine parts for maintenance.
• Ensure rings and sectors are clean twice a day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Duties

1. Follow all SOP's and the best practices for the AR/HV department
2. Ensure lenses are clean of dust and debris
3. Inspection, sorting, washing, and prepping lenses for AR coating.
4. Setting up lenses into domes, setting domes into AR machine.
5. Machine maintenance, including cleaning and scrubbing of exterior machine parts. Cleaning and scrubbing inside of the machine.
6. Help routing work
7. Maintains works-tation clean and organized
8. Maintains hourly production goals and yield
9. Able to work on computer-controlled equipment

Secondary Duties

1. Be able to multi-task, as required by work flow or Lab Manager
2. Handling flammable/corrosive materials daily
3. Light record keeping on machine maintenance
4. Maintain cleanliness of the lab
5. Perform duties as requested by Lab Manager or Supervisor
6. Maintain the machine clean inside and out
7. Maintain workstation and work areas clean and organized
8. Prepping machine parts for maintenance
9. Ensure rings and sectors are clean twice a day

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to read and write English Language well

Experience

• Experience in the optical industry as it relates to ophthalmic lenses is desired

Physical Requirements

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. During maintenance, employee required to squat, stretch, twist, bend, and be able to work inside tight areas.

Safety Requirements

• Closed-toe shoe required with heel support.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Must wear safety glasses, gloves, a face mask, and a lab coat as required by the task.
