Job summary

Eastern Screw Company in Rhode Island is seeking a motivated Machine Operator for first shift. You will receive hands-on training to perform production, inspection, and machine operation duties.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork. You will set up cold press heading machinery, adjust setup for proper part configuration, monitor equipment, and assist shop staff as needed. Benefits include retirement plans and health coverage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties.
• Set up cold press heading machinery and ensure materials are available.
• Make mechanical adjustments to machines for proper part configuration.
• Effectively monitor production equipment.
• Assist shop technicians and materials clerk as necessary.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
• Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations.

You will be trained as a Machine Operator. You will be trained to:

• Carry out production, inspection, and machine operation duties
• Set up cold press heading machinery and ensure all materials are readily available
• Make mechanical adjustments to machines for proper part configuration
• Effectively monitor production equipment
• Assist the shop technicians and materials clerk as necessary
• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace
• Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers to the thousands of an inch.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations
