Carr Lane Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Machine Operator for the grinding department in Elgin, TX. You will grind tooling components to tight tolerances and handle orders for a wide product line.

Position Overview

As a Machine Operator in the grinding department, you’ll grind tooling components to tight tolerances. This is a terrific opportunity to showcase your skills while working on orders for our vast product line.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate grinder, following drawings
• Measure and check parts routinely
• Set up grinding equipment, dress wheels as needed
• Perform minor machine repair as necessary

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Prior experience working as a machine operator,
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Basic math and measurement skills

Preferred:

• Ability to read blueprints
• Grinding experience

Required:

• Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions
• Close visual accuracy
• Subject to noise, hazards, and oils.
• Lift up to 35 lbs
