Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Grinder Operator to grind and polish glass edges, read sketches, and follow production schedules on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am–4pm).
You will operate a grinder, overhead crane, and vacuum lift, document daily work, and coordinate with the Lead to meet quality and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

This position involves the operation of a vertical grinder to grind or polish glass edges. Operator tracks, locates, and records edger production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.
This is a 1st shift position which is currently scheduled Monday-Friday 6am - 4pm

Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges. Must be able to read schedules and understand edger's production demands based on information schedules. Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge. Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift. Perform routine maintenance on machines. Complete daily work sheets and forms.
Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
