OBE in Westbrook, ME is seeking a CNC glass operator to run a CNC machine and track production on schedules provided by the lead person. The role communicates production demands across shifts and supports edge fabrication.

This 1st shift position runs Monday–Friday from 6am to 4pm, with opportunities for skill development, safety training, and involvement in a pay-for-performance culture. Join our team dedicated to quality glass products.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges.
• Read schedules and understand edger’s production demands.
• Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge.
• Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Complete daily work sheets and forms.

Job Summary

This position involves the operation of a CNC machine for glass. Operator tracks, locates, and records CNC production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.

This is a 1st shift position which is currently scheduled Monday-Friday 6am - 4pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges.
• Must be able to read schedules and understand edger’s production demands based on information schedules.
• Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge.
• Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines.
• Complete daily work sheets and forms.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a fabrication position, the following conditions must be met:
