Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking a Flake to Pellet Machine Operator to oversee the continuous operation of the flake to pellet system, ensuring safety and quality of PET resin pellets. The role includes machine setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating with leads to handle out-of-spec production.

Night shifts offer a shift premium. The candidate will work with the FTP Technical Lead and Operations Manager, perform routine maintenance, maintain clean work areas, and comply with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• OSHA forklift certification (employer will provide training if not certified).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop and run Flake to Pellet machine per established safety and operational procedures.
• Monitor flake feed to assure continuous operation.
• Inspect finished pellets to ensure quality standards and report deviations.
• Account for machine scrap and complete required reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all safety policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.

Employees assigned to the night shift are eligible for an additional shift premiumJob Title: Flake to Pellet Machine OperatorReports To: Team LeaderSummary: Responsible for operation of NGR Flake to Pellet equipment, crane system and any related equipment that is necessary to assure production of PET resin pellets of optimum quality.Description: The Flake to Pellet Machine Operator is responsible for all aspects of continuous operation of the of the flake to pellet system, including safety, equipment operation, monitoring, machine set up and cleaningDuties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary.Start, stop and run Flake to Pellet machine per established safety and operational procedures.Monitor flake feed and supply to assure continuous operation of the equipment.Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager of potential problems. Troubleshoot and profile machines as necessary.Inspect finished pellets to ensure they meet quality standards. Work with the FTP Technical Lead or Operations Manager to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.Account for machine scrap.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor machine issuesMaintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times.
