IMMEDIATELY HIRING Extrusion Operators for our Franklin Park location. Do you have at least one year of experience operating Extrusion or Thermoforming machines? Available shift: 7PM to 7AM with every other weekend off.

Compensation:

• Starting range from $21.32 up to $26.93 per hour based on experience

This Position is for Pactiv Evergreen.

Job Description:

• Consistently and safely operate machines at or above standard levels of operation, including waste, quality, efficiency, and utilization
• Troubleshoot, identify, and correct machine-related problems through proper adjustments
• Provide innovative solutions for production issues
• Support and guide less experienced personnel
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork, accounting for crewing time, machine time, and production quantities
• Inspect and recognize defective products and adjust machines accordingly
• Observe housekeeping, standard work, and safety guidelines
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and effective communication (written and verbal)

Qualifications:

• 1+ years' experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including every other weekend
• Punctuality and preparedness for shifts
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with Extrusion Machines
• Excellent communication and detailed record-keeping skills
• Analytical and math skills
• Ability to perform quality checks and understand production measurement tools
• Knowledge of product quality standards
• Comfortable wearing PPE such as hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes/boots, ear protection, and bump caps when required
• Manual dexterity
