Experienced Machine Operator
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (4 day / 10 hour shift)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks related to operating machinery within the production process. This includes setting up, operating, processing, and monitoring production, inspecting parts to specifications, and making adjustments or tool changes to maintain quality standards. The role also involves resolving minor component and quality issues, maintaining production rates as per work orders or BOM, and verifying product quality and process integrity according to setup sheets and Control Plans.
CORE FUNCTIONS
- Operate machines to ensure continuous, high-quality production with minimal waste, performing basic adjustments for safety and efficiency.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure parts meet visual and dimensional standards.
- Produce parts in the quantities scheduled.
- Perform pre-operation activities for proper equipment startup.
- Adjust machine settings to meet specifications accurately and promptly.
- Ensure product quality during packaging and final inspection.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, production, efficiency, and service.
- Report material utilization and ensure production data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Identify defective materials and inspect molds and tools for damage or wear.
- Notify maintenance or support teams when repairs or replacements are needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to 5-S standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and support staff.
- Support a professional work attitude and assist team members as needed to ensure continuous production.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience operating manufacturing, packaging, or process control equipment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.

Visual Acuity
- Close visual acuity for data analysis, inspection, measurement, and assembly tasks.
