Job summary

Quanex is seeking a Machine Operator to join our team in Molalla, Oregon. You will work with mechanical parts and machines in a dusty environment, following safety and production standards.

The role requires basic blueprint reading and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with a Day Shift option available. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of related machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and verifies work on the assigned machine to meet customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards.
• Assists in other work areas when workload permits or requires.
• Observes closely the operation of tools and machinery.

Any hazardous chemical exposure is specifically defined on accessible safety data sheets. Balancing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, repetitive motions are all part of the Machine Operator role.

What’s attractive about this opportunity:

• Pay: $18.50 - $23.11 an hour, based on experience
• Day Shift

What Success Looks Like:

• Sets-up, operates, and verifies work on assigned machine that meets customer specification, quality requirements, and production standards.

• Monitors product to ensure quality standards are being met.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 6 months of related machine operating experience in manufacturing environment.
