Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is partnering with a leading packaging manufacturer in Haverhill, MA to hire a Machine Operator for a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift. This contract-to-hire role offers a pay rate of $20–$22/hour and a hands-on, quality-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to keep products moving from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read work orders and production specs.
• High attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to meet quality and production goals.
• Set up equipment according to job specifications.
• Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
• Perform quality inspections throughout manufacturing.
• Follow work orders, production schedules, and job instructions.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily targets.
• Assist with machine changeovers and basic preventative maintenance.
