Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division in Reno, Nevada is hiring a Machine Operator - Data Comm (3rd Shift). The role pays $22.73 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with core hours 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.

You will operate assigned machines, troubleshoot issues, tag parts, document parts in SAP, and help maintain safe, efficient production. Preferred applicants have some experience with forming or bending machines and reading blueprints.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Machine Operator ll to join our team. This position is based at our Reno, Nevada location. Relocation is not provided, and candidates must live within 50-mile radius of the facility.

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders
• QC and document all parts run on machines
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production
• Keep work areas clean and safe

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
• More than 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines\
• More than 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift.
• Able to lift and bend on a continuous basis
• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

• Able to operate machinery and presses safely
• Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings
• Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material
• Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers
• Able to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision
