Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machine Operator II - Primaries in Reno, NV to operate and troubleshoot assigned presses and machines. You will read blueprints, tag tubs, perform QC, and enter production data into SAP. The role requires teamwork and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing and can work from the 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm shift with potential overtime. Health and retirement benefits are available from day one.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned machines/presses to produce parts.
• Troubleshoot machinery to minimize downtime.

• Enter data into SAP system for production tracking.
• Monitor inventory of components and supplies.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II - Primaries to join our team in Reno, NV! The rate for this position is $22.73 plus .50 shift differential per hour.

The core hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm - 11 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you’ll do

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses.
• Troubleshoot various machinery problems.
• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders.
• QC and document all parts run on machines.
• Retrieve and enter data into SAP computer system.
• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.
• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six (6) months + of experience with forming or bending machines.
• Six (6) months + of experience reading drawings or blueprints.
• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

Skills

• Ability to operate machinery and presses safely.
• Ability to read, accurately interpret, and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings.
• Ability to identify different gauges and types of raw material.
• Ability to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers.
• Ability to work effectively and productively as member of a team with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand on feet continuously during working shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
