Job summary

The Bernard Group, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator, Cutting (Nights) in Chanhassen, MN. You will operate Zund cutting machines to shape printed materials to customer specifications and perform quality control to ensure the highest standards are met.

The role requires strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. It offers a 36-hour weekly schedule with three 12-hour shifts and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis is required.
• Prior experience in printing or machine operations is a plus but not required.

We are looking for Machine Operators to join our Cutting Department. You’ll be part of a talented production group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This opportunity focuses on cutting printed materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner, using a Zund digital die cutting machine.

Shifts available: Sunday through Tuesday OR Wednesday through Friday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (36-hour work week - Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every 4 months. Overtime Eligible.)

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:

• a high school diploma or GED
• previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations a plus but not required
• the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

On top of that you must:

• pay close attention to details on every project
• have basic computer skills, including ePace and Google
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
• have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• apply effective time management and self-management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information

In this position you'll:

• operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications
• perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
• perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment
• perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at beginning of each shift

Compensation Range:$41,184 - $44,928 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).
