Job summary

The Bernard Group, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is seeking Machine Operators for the Cutting Department to cut printed materials to exact specifications using a Zund digital die cutting machine. This 36-hour work week runs on a rotating schedule, with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Basic computer skills including ePace and Google.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications.
• Perform QC procedures to meet company standards.
• Perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning at the beginning of each shift.

We are looking for Machine Operators to join our Cutting Department. You’ll be part of a talented production group that collaborates to deliver world-class products to our customers. This opportunity focuses on cutting printed materials into different shapes and sizes per exact specifications, in a timely manner, using a Zund digital die cutting machine.

Shifts available: Sunday through Tuesday OR Wednesday through Friday 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (36-hour work week - Three 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule every 4 months. Overtime Eligible.)

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:

• a high school diploma or GED
• previous work experience in printing, print operations, cutting, or machine operations a plus but not required
• the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

On top of that you must:

• pay close attention to details on every project
• have basic computer skills, including ePace and Google
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your own work
• have the ability to work independently, make decisions and solve moderate level problems independently, effectively and creatively
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• apply effective time management and self-management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information

In this position you'll:

• operate Zund cutting machines to form printed materials to customer specifications
• perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
• perform maintenance of Zund machinery and equipment
• perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines at beginning of each shift

Compensation Range:$41,184 - $44,928 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).
