Job summary

The Bernard Group, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team. You will set up and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts and ensure quality standards are met.

We value a thorough and organized approach, attention to detail, and strong communication. This full-time role requires flexibility, physical capability to lift 50 lbs, and comfort with Pace and Google Suite.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A two-year technical or trade school diploma is preferred.
• Three years of experience in a CNC role is expected.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment for 2-5 years is preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be organized and detail-oriented.
• Basic computer skills including Pace and Google Suite.
• Self-motivated with initiative to meet customer and company needs.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage work.
• Able to meet deadlines while upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure the CNC by entering instructions, setting up tool registers and offsets.
• Load machine with work pieces and verify settings.
• Maintain specifications by observing operations and troubleshooting.
• Perform QC procedures to meet company standards.
• Perform basic CNC maintenance and complete various tasks as requested.

$3.00 per hour Shift Differential on top of your base pay if you work the majority of your shift after 5:00 pm

We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join our team.You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world class products to our customers.This role will produce machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.

Shifts available:Sunday - Tuesday OR Wednesday - Friday 5:45 pm - 6:15 am

On top of that you must:

• possess a thorough and organized approach to your work
• pay close attention to details on every project
• have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
• be self-motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• apply effective time management and self-management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of company, employee and customer information
• be flexible to change

In this position, you will:

• configure the CNC by entering instructions, set tool registers, offset and conditional switches
• load machine with work pieces
• verify settings by measuring the positions, first run part and sample workpieces
• maintain specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes
• perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards
• perform basic maintenance of the CNC
• complete miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management

Compensation Range: $43,056 - $59,155 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials).

*Range reflects our good-faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
