Job summary

Sioux Steel Company is seeking a dependable Machine Operator - TRUMPF Level 1 for our Lennox, SD night-shift manufacturing team. You will operate TRUMPF CNC equipment to cut, punch, and form steel components, reading blueprints and production orders, and ensuring parts meet quality standards.

Work schedule is Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM with a $2.00/hour night-shift differential and day-shift training before transitioning to nights.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year CNC or laser cutting experience preferred.
• Experience with TRUMPF, Amada, or similar CNC laser/punch press equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with machine interfaces or production software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete company-provided training on TRUMPF operation, programming, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials safely using a forklift.
• Enter, adjust, or recall CNC programs as directed.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.

$1350 SIGN ON BONUS

Location: Lennox, SD

Job Type: Full-Time, Hourly

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM

Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour for night shift

Training: Day-shift training is required before transitioning to the regular night-shift schedule.

Sioux Steel is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator - TRUMPF Level 1 to join our night-shift manufacturing team in Lennox, SD.

In this role, you’ll operate TRUMPF CNC equipment used to cut, punch, and form steel components. You’ll work from blueprints and production orders, monitor machine performance, inspect finished parts, and help ensure our products meet quality and production standards.
