Job summary

Sioux Steel is seeking a dependable Machine Operator – TRUMPF Level 1 for our Lennox, SD night shift team. You will operate TRUMPF CNC equipment to cut, punch, and form steel components from blueprints and production orders, and you’ll help ensure parts meet quality and production standards.

You'll work Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:30 AM, with a $2.00/hour night-shift differential and required daytime training before transitioning to the night shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year CNC or laser cutting experience preferred.
• Experience with TRUMPF, Amada, or similar CNC laser/punch press equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate TRUMPF laser or punch press equipment to produce steel parts to required specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and setup sheets.
• Load and unload materials safely using a forklift.
• Enter, adjust, or recall CNC programs as directed.
• Monitor machine operation and part quality throughout production.
• Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring tools.
• Identify and report quality concerns, nonconforming materials, or equipment issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.

Sioux Steel is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator – TRUMPF Level 1 to join our night-shift manufacturing team in Lennox, SD.

• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with machine interfaces or production software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Willingness to complete company-provided training on TRUMPF operation, programming, and safety.
