Job summary

OBE is seeking a CNC machine operator to support glass fabrication. You will read sketches, locate and process edges on glass, and coordinate with the Lead to align production needs across shifts.

This is a 1st shift role, Monday–Friday, 6am–4pm. You will operate a grinder, overhead crane, and perform routine machine maintenance while documenting daily work on sheets and forms.

Qualifications

• Basic computer familiarity required.
• Able to read and use a tape measure.
• Able to read schedules and perform mathematical calculations with numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machine for glass and track/record production on schedules.
• Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.
• Operate grinder to fabricate a quality edge and run overhead crane/vacuum lift.
• Perform routine maintenance and complete daily worksheets/forms.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety policies.

Job Summary

This position involves the operation of a CNC machine for glass. Operator tracks, locates, and records CNC production on schedules provided by Lead person. Communicate production demands with operators on each shift.

This is a 1st shift position which is currently scheduled Monday-Friday 6am - 4pm

Essential Duties andResponsibilities

Must be able to read and understand sketches and interpret their meaning onto glass edges. Must be able to read schedules and understand edger’s production demands based on information schedules. Operate a grinder to fabricate a quality ground or polished edge. Operate overhead crane and vacuum lift. Perform routine maintenance on machines. Complete daily work sheets and forms.

Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.

Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a fabrication position, the following conditions must be met:
