Job summary

Community Metal Works is seeking a dependable Press Brake Operator – Tier 1 in Marlboro, NY, with a full-time first shift (6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.). The role involves setting up a press brake, following engineering drawings, and producing metal parts per specifications.

Relocation to Saugerties, NY after January 1, 2027 is noted. Candidates should have 1+ year manufacturing experience, good mechanics and attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings and use calipers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience; metal parts manufacturing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use calipers/tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Set tools and dies on the press brake according to work order instructions.
• Retrieve and review engineering drawings through the ERP system.
• Retrieve raw materials from stock as required for each job.
• Retrieve bend programs using the machine control panel.
• Perform bending operations according to machine programs and production specifications.
• Record labor hours and materials used by job in the ERP system.
• Perform basic in-process dimensional inspections to ensure parts meet tolerances.
• Complete production orders according to the production schedule.
• Assist with packing and deburring as needed.
