Job Overview

Operates multiple production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses and similar machinery that may require raw materials to be loaded onto stock reels.

A Day In The Life

• Set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications and adjust or change tools as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Set up and operate production machines following established procedures and guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently according to specifications.
• Suggest improvements to supervisors related to assigned work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following Hubbell’s 6S policy.
• Follow written and verbal instructions from lead persons and production supervisors.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect own work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Assist in other areas as needed.
