Job description

Job Overview

Operates on multiple production machines such as saws, presses, drills, and other hand and/or powered equipment, as well as automatic presses and similar equipment which may require raw material to be loaded onto stock reels.

A Day In The Life
  • Performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot & perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.
  • Inspect parts to specifications & adjust, or tool changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications.
  • Sets up & operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures & guidelines.
  • Read & interpret blueprints & diagrams to select, position & secure machinery.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications & in a timely manner.
  • Make suggestions to supervisors for improvements associated with assigned work.
  • Maintain a clean & orderly work area per Hubbell’s 6S policy.
  • Follow instructions, both written & verbal, from the lead person & production supervisors.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe & efficient manner.
  • Inspect own work for conformity to standards.
  • Assist in other areas as necessary.
