The Bernard Group, Inc. in Chanhassen, MN is hiring a Bindery Operator to run small format equipment (Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter). Shift options include evenings with overtime eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Complete the job successfully and provide a quality product the customer will want to order again.
• Run the bindery equipment in a small format capacity.
• Run existing bindery equipment and be open to learning how to run new equipment.
• Troubleshoot production problems to ensure productivity and quality standards.
• Perform Quality Control (QC) procedures to meet Company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance of the bindery machines.
• Complete miscellaneous projects and various tasks as requested by management.

$3.00 per hour Shift Differential on top of your base pay if you work the majority of your shift after 5:00 pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Bindery Operator for one or more of the following machines: Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Cutter. You’ll be part of a talented group that collaborates to deliver world‑class products to our customers. This role will handle small format products that require bindery work before they are packed and shipped to the client.

Shifts available: Sunday through Tuesday OR Wednesday through Friday 6:00 pm – 6:00 am (Overtime Eligible)

A variety of these traits will help land you this job if you have:

• a high school diploma or GED
• a two‑year Technical or Trade School diploma
• three years’ experience as a bindery operator, cutter, folder or booklet maker
• worked in a manufacturing environment for 2–5 years
• worked in a fast‑paced mid‑size company
• the ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis

On top of that you must:

• possess a thorough and organized approach to your work
• pay close attention to details on every project
• have basic computer skills, including Pace and Google Suite
• be self‑motivated, a fast learner, and show initiative to seek out customer and corporate needs
• plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage your work
• complete projects accurately within deadlines, while meeting Company quality standards
• apply effective time management and self‑management skills
• understand and maintain the confidential nature of the company, employee and customer information
• be flexible to change

In this position you'll:

Compensation Range: $38,880 - $41,932 annually (This base pay range does not include additional compensation such as shift differentials). Range reflects our good‑faith assessment of our hiring range for this role based on market conditions, experience level, and internal equity considerations.
